A big welcome to new and transfer students and welcome back returning
students from all the consultants and staff here at the Writing Center!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with us, the Writing Center is
a place where AU students meet AU students for one-to-one writing coaching. All
of our writing consultants are undergraduate and graduate students who are trained
to help you with any writing project from essays to personal statements and application essays. We are
prepared to assist at every stage of the writing process such as:
- Interpreting a writing assignment
- Generating ideas
- Locating and sharpening a thesis statement
- Organizing ideas and research
- Developing logical arguments
- Polishing your prose
- Finding strategies for revising
- Identifying recurrent errors
All of our sessions are free and last 45 minutes. Our phone
